Needful Things Redesign: Character and Book Jacket

A redesign for both the character Leland Gaunt and Book jacket for the novel Needful Things by Stephen King. I wanted to remake Leland Gaunt in a way between how he was portrayed in both the novel and movie, which is a place between super old and mid life. I also choose to put a more modern spin on it with the hair style and avoided using the classic top hat for the character.
For the jacket I was inspired by Saul Bass and his simple movie posters and title sequences. I kept it simple with the classic vibrant red background and a hand created look to smaller elements like the windows.
